The title of the work, “Cheshm-e- Dad” (Cheshm-e-Roshan-e-Mitra), draws inspiration from Mitra, the Zoroastrian deity of covenant, kindness, truth, and justice. Mitra is depicted with a thousand ears and ten thousand vigilant eyes, aware of all matters, with nothing hidden from her sight. She is the eye of the day and the eternal sun. Mitra serves as the guardian of righteousness, covenant, kindness, truth, and justice. The tears in her eyes reflect the mirror of the heart and reveal the pain she carries within from the onslaught of injustices endured.
