The “Heyrani” collection is inspired by mystical poetry and the spiritual journey rooted in Eastern mysticism and philosophy. The design ideas for this collection are influenced by studies and reflections on this theme. In a poem by Abu Saeed Abul Khair, he says, “I am intoxicated by the cup of eternity, I am in love with the essence of the beloved / I am bewildered by the face of the cupbearer, I am in love with the essence of the beloved.” This state defies description; it speaks of love, intoxication, and bewilderment.

Heyrani | Hoo | “Hoo” is a simple, two-letter word and represents a minimal reflection of various forms of the divine. The letter “H” contains a “W” within it, and the letter “W” contains an “H,” signifying both concealment and revelation.

“Hoo” refers to God, and everyone has their divine essence or “Hoo.” The term “Hoo” encompasses a broader meaning than “Allah,” including deities from all religions and beliefs. Even atheists and agnostics possess their own “Hoo,” where each person’s essence is colored by their experiences and states of being.

Linguistically, “Hoo” in Sufi parlance is an abbreviation of “Huwa,” referring to the Almighty God. “Oh Hoo; O God” (Note by Dehkhoda).

In Arabic, “Hoo” is a pronoun (third-person singular masculine). In Indo-European languages, “Hoo” is also seen at the beginning of the word “art: honor,” meaning good or virtuous. “Hoo” was previously “Su” and entered Indian and Iranian languages through Sanskrit. The “S” at the beginning of some words has changed to “H”; for instance, “Sindhu” to “Hindu,” “Sosun” to “Human,” and “Sakamenisha” to “Achaemenid.” Hence, “Su,” meaning good or virtuous, has transformed into “Hoo.”

Omid Hamooni, born in 1983 in Tehran He is a graphic expert and a graduate of the Iran Calligraphers Association with a distinguished degree and a professional technical organization in the field of gold and jewelry. He started his career as a graphic designer and art director in 2002. In 2011, the beginning of designing and making jewelry was a new field for him to express and introduce his ideas and thoughts under the ZEEBEH brand. The concept of most of his works is inspired by studies in the fields of philosophy, poetry, mysticism, music, literature, culture and psychology, and minimal typography is a technique used in most of his works to express and convey concepts. Omid Hamooni has also authored two books specifically in the field of Persian letter design, namely "Analysis and Review of Persian Letters" published by Azad University and "Letter Design for Persian Font" published by Fatemi. Among his activities in the field of letter design, the referee of the letter design section of the 6th Silver Cedar Biennial, the Graphic Designers Association of Iran.
